Check out what this years Fall Leadership has in store:

Keynote Speaker
Albert Mensah
http://albertmensah.com
We are excited to welcome Albert Mensah back to Washington DECA! Albert Mensah is the “Prince of Possibilities.” He grew up in Ghana, one of the poorest countries in West Africa, while incubating a curious dream that made his peers laugh. Someday he would live in America. After seeing his first movie shown on a makeshift screen, he began his lifelong passion for reading, by “practically living in a library,” and eventually received a four-year scholarship to Western Maryland College, where he was incidentally an All-American soccer player. His personal journey is inspirational and he encourages students to make their own destiny.

Mock Compeittion
All attending students will have the opportunity to participate in the role play mock competition. More than 200 volunteer competition judges are being recruited to provide our students the competitive advantage to participate in a role play and receive immediate advice, feedback and suggestions from the judges. It’s a great opportunity for new DECA members to experience competition and a way for returning members to practice their competition skills.

Chapter Leadership Academy (CLA)
Each chapter advisor will have the opportunity to select three outstanding student leaders in their chapter to attend the CLA on Monday October 24th. The CLA will be an inspirational half-day of hands-on learning featuring great speakers, practical content, and an opportunity to connect with other chapter leaders from across the state. Chapter leaders will have an opportunity to share best practices and proven ideas for chapter success throughout the day.
